Buy M365 Copilot seats for the 2-3 people drowning in email, documents, and quotes first — usually the owner and whoever runs the office — because work-grounding is where the real payback lives (the pricing math, kept current: what Copilot costs). Skip, for now: advanced agent platforms, per-seat everything for the crew, and anything you can't name a weekly use for. Expand seats when the first two prove out — evidence-based buying beats faith-based licensing.
02 The two-week rollout
A Copilot seat costs roughly an hour of anyone's loaded labor per month. So the entire question is: does it save each seat-holder an hour a month? The triage habit alone usually clears that bar in week one — which is why you install habits, not features, and why the verdict meeting counts hours, not vibes.
03 Small-shop advantages (you have them)
No procurement committee, no change-management theater, no legacy rollout scars: a five-person shop can go from zero to fluent in the time an enterprise schedules its kickoff meeting. Your rollout risk isn't resistance — it's the owner getting busy in week two and the whole thing quietly evaporating. That's what the day-14 meeting is really for: a date on the calendar that the evaporation has to answer to.
