Interactive Sales Engine Lesson 1: run a 60-second prospect brief and pick the hook that earns a reply, with an AI Coach.
Sales Engine · Lesson 1Free  ~12 min · No code

Research any prospect in 60 seconds.

Generic outreach is why prospects ghost you. This lesson is the fast way to research a prospect or company and find the one specific hook that earns a reply — so you walk into every conversation prepared. No code.

The mental model

The difference between ignored and answered is specificity — and AI makes specificity fast.

Everyone can send "I'd love to connect." What gets a reply is one concrete detail that proves you did your homework — a recent hire, a launch, a pain they mentioned publicly. Research used to take 30 minutes a prospect; AI gets you the hook in about one.

The reframeYou're hunting for one hook, not a biography. You don't need everything about them — you need the single specific thing that makes your message obviously not a template.

Step 01 · Run the 60-second brief

Point AI (a research tool like Perplexity, or a chat AI with web access) at a prospect and ask for a structured brief. Press run to watch one come together:

company  Acme Logistics — regional 3PL, ~120 staff
recent  opened a second warehouse last month
hiring  3 ops roles posted — scaling pains
signal  CEO posted about manual reporting eating Fridays ← the hook
competitors  two named; positioning on speed
Research promptBrief me on [prospect/company]: what they do, size, anything notable in the last 90 days, their likely pain points, and who their competitors are. Cite your sources. End with the one specific detail I could open a message with.
Always click through the sources on anything you'll repeat — AI can paraphrase a fact wrong, and a wrong "congrats on X" kills the message faster than no message.

Step 02 · Pick the hook

From that brief, which opener earns a reply? Tap the one built on a specific, real detail:

Step 03 · Right tool for each half

It's cross-tool by design: use a research AI with live web access for the facts, then a chat AI for the writing. Don't ask the writer to invent facts, and don't ask the researcher to be your copywriter.

Never paste a fact you haven't verified. A made-up funding round or wrong job title in your opener does more damage than a plain message. Specificity wins — but only true specificity.

Your challenge: brief one real prospect

  1. Pick a real prospect or company you want to reach.
  2. Run the research prompt and get a structured brief.
  3. Click through the sources on the detail you'll use.
  4. Write down the one specific hook you'd open with.

Lesson complete

You can research a prospect or company in seconds, find the one specific hook that earns a reply, verify it at the source, and use the right AI for research versus writing.
