Personas: who the AI thinks you are.

Characters have rich personalities; by default, you’re nobody. A persona fixes that — it’s a saved description of you (or whoever you want to be today) that every character automatically knows. It’s the highest-leverage setting on the platform.

01What a persona does

A persona is a short profile — name plus a few sentences — attached to your side of every chat. Characters weave it in naturally: a language tutor knows your level, a story character knows your role in the scene, an interview coach knows your industry. Without one, every conversation starts from zero.

02Write one that pulls weight

Facts beat adjectives. "Manages a small IT team in Fargo, practicing for director-level interviews, direct communication style" gives characters material; "smart and friendly" gives them nothing. You can keep several personas — a realistic one for practice characters, invented ones for fiction — and switch per chat.

03Where it shines

Language practice (tutor stays at your level), interview prep (coach asks about YOUR field), serialized stories (you have a consistent role), and any recurring character relationship. Change the persona and the same character gives you a completely different experience — one tutor, every difficulty level.
